allison-iraheta-music-video

Hello ya’ll. I wrote about Allison’s debut single over a month ago, but just saw the music video this morning. It’s simple yet so 80′s A-HA at the same time- I absolutely love it. Iraheta looks like a seasoned pro in the video. She’s grown so much since the first time we saw her first performance on Idol.

If you want to check out what I wrote about the single in my previous post, click here. Otherwise, here’s a tiny excerpt from my article.

The Max Martin produced track, “Friday, I’ll Be Over You” is the perfect single to launch Iraheta’s post-idol career. The infectious track is “poppy” without being bubble-gum. Given her age, I was half worried, 19 Entertainment would wash her down and market her liker her teenage contemporaries, Selena Gomez and/or Demi Lovato. Instead, they’ve let her rock-n-roll talents shine. The track is bit remiscient of Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” which makes sense since Max Martin produced both tracks. Seems to me, Max Martin is on a bit of a hot streak lately.

Allison shines in this sassy, screw you attitude filled song. I’m a little embarrassed to admit how many times I’ve listened to it today. Let’s just say it’s A LOT. The teenager will be releasing her album under Jive Records tentatively on December 1, 2009.

What did you think? Did watching the music video make you like the track more? or vice versa? Were you expecting more from her and 19 Entertainment? Weigh in below.
