Sometimes getting a new haircut can make you feel brand new. That’s exactly what Alicia Keys goes through on her journey of self-discovery in her new clip “Brand New Me“. Girl looks stunning in the oddly riveting yet simple video. The track is the second single off her Girl On Fire album and was co-written by one of my current favorites, Scottish singer Emeli Sande.
Sporting a hairstyle you might’ve seen Whitney Houston work during her “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” music video, Keys begins the clip tickling the ivories. Personally, this is when the 31-year-old singer shines best- at the piano. As she walks around backstage wearing a plunging pantsuit, beautiful silhouettes are captured by director Diane Martel. Then as the song reaches the bridge, Alicia takes off the wig and rocks out her natural hair. Work it out girl. Check out the music video below.
