THIS JUST GOT INTERESTING!!! Current Hollywood “bad boy” Alex Pettyfer is taking it all off for an upcoming movie. The “I Am Four” star will be busting out his best stripper moves to portray a young Channing Tatum in an upcoming bio flick based on the “Step Up” actor. Can we say yum. Actually, can we say duo lap dance?
Dubbed “Magic Mike“, the film will delve into Channing Tatum’s early years as a stripper before he made it as a huge movie star. Acclaimed director, Steven Soderbergh is manning the film and gives it some serious cred. Known for his films “Traffic” and “Erin Brockovich”, Soderbergh gained prominence with his 1989 indie hit, “Sex, Lies and Videotape”. With those credentials, expect a sexy and titillating flick. Soderbergh cites ‘Saturday Night Fever’ as an inspiration for the upcoming movie.
Channing Tatum himself will also appear in the film. He’ll play the title character who mentors a young version of himself (Pettyfer) on how to hustle on stage and in life. Back in the day, 1999 to be exact, Tatum stripped at Male Encounter, a male revue club in Florida. His stage name was Chan Crawford. LOL. What is it with Florida and male strippers? Recently I was in the Sunshine State and they probably have more hotter male strippers per capita than anywhere else in the world. Time to buy that summer home in Fort Lauderdale ;)

While the idea of seeing Pettyfer strip is appealing, does anyone think a biopic about Tatum who is only 31-years-old kinda hilarious? Pretty soon, we’re going to have biopics about Zac Efron or Rob Pattinson. That said, it’s nice to see Pettyfer who’s earned a reputation for being difficult on set and often criticized by the media to take this role. Hopefully it’ll teach him to loosen up, figuratively and literally. I wonder how many times he’ll watch the clip below to inspire him.

Is this a joke? Channing Tatum is hardly worthy of his own biopic…he’s been in like 5 movies that nobody saw. This will be a career ender for Soderbergh
