Water you up to today? Since coming back from vacation, I've been making an intentional effort to bump up training volume – both in cardio AND in resistance training. And after Sunday's post legday swim, I could sense my body was starting to feel wiped out. Well, now focusing more on getting high quality post workout simple carbs with a bit of @WTRMLNWTR . I rarely have sugar, but if I do, it's either pre or post workout, and in the most natural form possible. This stuff nails it – not too sweet, a good dose of citrulline, and plenty of electrolytes. Gotta love a good post workout drink. Crush it ?y'all. #WTRMLNWTR #DRINKCLEAN #FitFam #Fitness #Fit #Lift #Healthy #Motivation #MensFashion #Fashion #Travel #Chicago

When @BrooklynBoulders reached out to me to check out their newly renovated, 1600ft. expanded facility, I was 100% down. I've been here 3-4 times before, but haven't been in since their expansion. Well I took their 60 minute "Intro to Climbing" class this weekend w/ their instructor, Delaney, and… damn. That was cool. Beyond the numerous climbing and bouldering walls, there was a fully fleshed out free weight area (did someone say 100lb. dumbbells and hella racks?), 24 yoga classes and 22 fitness classes per week, and a co-working space for members and/or guests to bust out their laptops and get stuff done. Oh, and a ping pong table. Can't forget the ping pong table. I'm incredibly excited to announce I'l be partner with them on MULTIPLE, massive giveaways throughout the month of October. I'm talking about access to climbing classes, memberships, belay certifications – the whole 9 yards. Stayed tuned y'all – it's one of the biggest collabs I've run to date! Get out there and keep crushin' it. #BKBFitInfluencer #BKBLove #MotivationMonday #Chicago

So one of my favorite podcasts, WorkLife by TED released a new episode that discusses high performing teams – and some of the stats mentioned are pretty damn mind blowing. 75% of plane crashes occur with crews that have worked together for the first time. A team of NASA scientists found that a crew that has worked together before but has pulled an all-nighter is MORE efficient than a fully well rested team that has never worked together. It takes an average of 5 years for a high performing financial analyst to regain his/her "high performing" status after changing firms. There are a ton of other stats that discuss how buying out and implementing an entire team rather than a single high performing individual leads to ZERO drop in effectiveness when introduced into a new environment. But the idea of effective teaming. Pretty damn interesting stuff. Food for thought – make shit happen y'all. #FitFam #ChicagoFitness #Fitness #Fit #Lift #Healthy #Chicago #Motivation #ProjectRenaissance #Hustle #Grind #Productive #BestSelf
