This July, one longtime panelist from The Talk will be exiting the daytime program. And that person is Aisha Tyler, who’s been on the show for six seasons. “At the end of this season, I’m going to be leaving the show,” the 46-year-old emotionally announced on-air Thursday.
Tyler cites her busy schedule as the reason for her departure. In addition to co-hosting The Talk, which films 11 months of the year, she’s a regular on Criminal Minds, hosts Whose Line Is It Anyway and lends her voice for the animated series Archer. “I just realized I had to let something go,” she said through tears.
She’s definitely one busy bee. With more time on her hands now, Aisha expressed she wants to pursue more directing projects. “People always go ‘How to you do all that?’, and I don’t always have an answer,” she said, adding quickly that participating on The Talk “is such a joy that it never feels like work to me.”
Tyler, along with Sheryl Underwood, joined the CBS chatfest during Season 2, replacing OG panelists Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini. I don’t watch The Talk often, but when I do, I enjoy Aisha the most. She’s by far my favorite. Will you miss her? Sound off below.

Life is about change.
Sometimes it's painful.
Sometimes it's beautiful.
Most of the time, it's both.
Be brave, everyone. Be brave. pic.twitter.com/dssCpyMPLa
