Adam Lambert Tops Forbes’ Top Earning American Idols Of 2015 List

With American Idol beginning its farewell season, Forbes decided to crunch some numbers to determine the top earning alums to come from the FOX reality show. It’s a bit surprising who topped the list in 2015.

Adam Lambert didn’t even win Season 8 but tops the annual list for the first time. He surpasses Carrie Underwood who held the title the past two years. The Storyteller singer has to settle for second place with $8 million. Poor little rich country girl 😉

According to the publication, Glambert earned an estimated $10 million which mostly came from playing arena shows fronting the legendary rock band Queen. It’s not like The Original High flew off the shelves. None of the album’s tracks, including “Ghost Town,” became hits. It truly is a shame. Definitely underrated.

Surprisingly, Kelly Clarkson tied for fifth place with $4 million. Forbes reveals that only three of her concert shows were eligible during the scoring period of their rankings. Check out the Top 5 below.

2015 Top Earning American Idol Alums

  • 1. Adam Lambert Lambert – $10 million

  • 3. Daughtry – $6 million
  • 4. Phillip Phillips – $5 million
  • 5. Kelly Clarkson – $4 million (tie)

“Ghost Town” did well and “Another Lonely Night” following along – Lambert’s doing his album tour now in Asia/Oz/Europe to great crowds – “underrated” by some, but not by those who know great music and brilliant vocals –
