It’s time for another one of my cover discoveries. Today I bring you two for the price of one. The first one is a cover of rapper Kid Cudi’s Day ‘n Night. The song hit a peak of No. 9 on Billboard’s 100 and was a mainstay at the clubs. Recently Sugar Ray did a cover and it’s pretty amazing. Sugar Ray? Yeah, remember them when they used to sing songs before Mark McGrath became the host of Extra and The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll. Before I heard this cover, I had no idea they even had a new album in stores. Who knew? Hope you enjoy it.

The next cover I’m absolutely in love with is of Ryan Edgar’s cover of Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown”. Who is Ryan Edgar? I have no friggin’ clue. I tried to googled him but found out: 1. He has no Wikipedia entry; 2. He has a MySpace profile with a few random songs and nothing else; and 3; An official website again with nothing much going on there. Apparently he’s an unsigned musician who has an album out. Whomever he is, he’s got a good voice and does an excellent job with the acoustic cover of Kanye’s single.
