“We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes. The show is as fresh and relevant today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago. We can’t wait to see what the Roseanne team has in store for next year,” exec Channing Dungey said.
The renewal isn’t at all shocking. The Roseanne Barr sitcom returned with huge numbers. It’s the highest-rated comedy telecast in three-and-a-half years on any network. With just one day of DVR playback factored in, the total viewers rises to 21.9 million and a 6.2 demo rating from the overnight numbers of 18.2 million/5.2 rating respectively.
Season 11 will consist of 13 episodes, up from the current season’s order of only nine episodes. Will you continue to watch Roseanne? Sound off below.
