ABC Gives Early Renewals To Entire TGIT Lineup

Great news for Shondaland fans. ABC dished out early renewals for Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder, keeping the TGIT lineup in tact for another year.

“Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder continue to keep viewers on the edge of their seats and wanting more. I’m thrilled to bring back these shows and the OMG moments that come with them,” said ABC president Channing Dungey.

The renewals aren’t too shocking given the three dramas are solid performers for the alphabet network. Grey’s ranks as ABC’s No. 1 show among the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demo. It’s also a top 10 series in the demo and the No. 3 drama on all of broadcast. With the pickups, Grey’s Anatomy will enter its 14th season, while Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder clock in their seventh and fourth seasons respectively.

There’s still another Shonda Rhimes series whose fate is still unknown. The network will make that decision when The Catch begins its second season after Murder ends.

Although Scandal is nowhere as addictive as it was the first few seasons, it’s still my favorite among the three. How about you? Which show is your favorite? Weigh in below.
