“Good Morning, Charlie!”…. “Good riddance, Angels.” I saw this one coming a mile away. Despite the fact that it’s already a known concept/brand, I had absolutely no interest in watching this show, and apparently most others felt the same. Good remakes are hard to do. I feel like that is especially true in television and a very risky venture.

The day after ABC announces that they’ve order full seasons of “Suburgatory” and “Revenge,” they announce that they are cancelling “Charlie’s Angels“. The show, starring Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh, premiered with a viewership of 8.7 million. As the season continued, the viewers started to drop off quite a bit and on its episode on October 6th, only 5.9 million viewers tuned in. There is no word on what the show’s replacement will be as of yet.

Charlie’s Angel’s now joins NBC’s The Playboy Club and Free Agents, as well as CBS’ How to Be a Gentleman and the CW’s reality/hidden camera show H8R as the newcomers to get tossed out this fall TV season.
