….And that’s what drugs do to you folks. While his older brother Nick Carter has been preparing for the NKOTBSB Tour, Aaron Carter has left the former “House of Carters” and checked into rehab, according E! News. The decision to go to rehab was apparently his own choice, and not a court mandated decision of any sort. Better than joining “Celebrity Rehab” again. Carter’s manager, Johnny Wright, elaborated on this, telling E! the following:

“Several months ago Aaron came to me to help him return to music and to restart his career. He has been in Orlando working on a new album and perfecting his live show and his physical body. Aaron, understanding the challenges and hard work it would take to get himself back to the top, requested to take some time before we started to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with. Therefore he has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs that will help him on the music journey he’s about to take. He asks that everyone keep him in their prayers and that they respect his privacy at this time.”

Aaron Carter had been romantically linked to Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff, and was on Dancing With The Stars on Season 9. Lindsay Lohan has had her share of substance abuse problems, but looks like Hilary Duff made it through the danger zone safely. Then again she retired from music, so perhaps she couldn’t handle the industry either.

Carter had been busy on Twitter with his inspirational tweets, so it sounds like he is doing well in rehab. We wish him well and hope he gets the help he needs.
