My sweet sweet Aaliyah would’ve turned 34 earlier this week on Wednesday, January 16, had she not died that fateful day in 2001. Even from the beyond, Miss Haughton thought of her fans and bestowed them a birthday gift- a new unreleased track.
Last year Drake laid down his vocals on a track from Aaliyah titled “Enough Said.” The single was to be part of a posthumous record executive-produced by the Canadian rapper. Things have been relatively quiet on that project but hopefully, it’s still in the works and this new track is part of it.
“Quit Hatin’” was previously leaked before, but the new version has more vocals and an additional verse by Aaliyah. As usual, her sultry vocals shine and steal the show on this R&B ballad. I’m pretty sure the following audio isn’t the official production as it has some distracting background sounds intermittently. That said, it’s still worth a listen if you’re a fan of the fallen singer.
Thoughts? Are you looking forward to an Aaliyah posthumous album by Drake? What’s your favorite Aaliyah track? Sound off below.

Love this song! I wish I didn’t hear that voice playing in the background. My Favorite track from Aaliyah is Giving up.
