Find Out Who’s Replacing Connie Britton On ‘9-1-1’

No need to call 9-1-1. The casting emergency caused by Connie Britton’s departure has been resolved. Jennifer Love Hewitt has signed on as a series regular for the hit FOX drama’s sophomore season.

Britton returning for a second season was always a tall order. She only signed on for one season and she recently joined Bravo’s new true-crime anthology series Dirty John. Still, Ryan Murphy is hopeful she’ll come back to guest star in a couple episodes.

Love Hewitt is set to play Maddie, a new 911 call-center operator. She also happens to be the sister of Oliver Stark’s Buck. Jennifer probably won’t be the only new operator we’ll see this season. Murphy previously teased Season 2 would introduce several new call-center operators. “We’re going after big names,” he stated.

Jennifer’s past television credits include Party Of Five, Ghost Whisperer and The Client List. She was most recently seen on Season 10 of Criminal Minds.
