2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Complete Winners List

The Screen Actors Guild Awards celebrated its silver anniversary this weekend. Since its inception, the guild has been a great indicator on who might take home the eventual statue come Oscar night. 18 out of 25 SAG’s Best Actress picks have gone on to take home the Oscar statue. With regards to Best Actor, that number rises to 20. Glenn Close and Rami Malek should feel very good about their chances. Both were winners at the 2019 SAGs.

Heading into the evening, A Star Is Born lead the pack with four nominations. Sadly, the Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga flick walked away with nothing. BlacKkKlansman and The Favourite, which scored 3 nods apiece, also were shut out.

The big winner of the night was Black Panther which earned the organization’s Best Picture equivalent- Outstanding Performance by A Cast. Emily Blunt, who failed to snag an Oscar nom, won Best Supporting Actress for A Quiet Place, while Mahershala Ali continued his winning streak and grabbed Best Supporting Actor for Green Book.

Over on the television side, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel dominated. The Amazon series swept the comedy categories.
