Much like New York City’s Broadway Bares, London’s theater community also holds an annual sexy benefit show. West End Bares benefits the Make A Difference Trust, a UK based charity with a vision of a world free from HIV and AIDs, and is based on the original concept Broadway Bares by Broadway and West End director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell.
For the skin-tastic 8th edition, a Wizard of Oz theme was selected. “Ruby Strippers” (love the name) features the much loved characters of Oz like you’ve never seen them before. The extraordinary night of high camp and spectacle will see over 100 of the hottest performers take to the stage, combining the naughtiness of burlesque with the magic of the West End. In the words of Mitchell, “Lions and tigers and BARES, oh my!”
West End Bares: Ruby Strippers will be held at The Novello Theatre on Sunday October 29 with performances at 7pm and 9.30pm. Check out preview pics below along with a revealing behind-the-scenes clip of the photoshoot.
