The 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards took place last night at the Wembley Arena in London, England. Rita Ora hosted the event and rocked a bathrobe on the red carpet. The look has already become iconic. See that below.
With regards to the awards, Shawn Mendes won the most hardware. The Canadian cutie took home four awards.
Let’s face it though, the EMAs aren’t actually about the awards but about the performances. This year’s batch didn’t disappoint. The stage, with four surrounding elevated mini-platforms, provided for some fantastic visuals. Some artists definitely used them for their benefit.
Demi Lovato wowed with her vocals, while Clean Bandit gathered Julia Michaels, Anne-Marie and Zara Larsson for a medley of their hits. Eminem also popped up to sing his latest single “Walk On Water” but enlisted Skylar Grey to sing the hook for an MIA Beyonce.
For me though, Camila Cabello delivered the most entertaining set. Check it out below, along with my other favorites who hit the stage.
