2017 BAFTA Nominations: La La Land Dominates

The love for La La Land spans far and wide. It’s equally as loved across the Atlantic as it is in Hollywood.

Just days after setting a Golden Globes record for most wins, the lavish musical dominated the 2017 BAFTA nominations. It racked up 11 nods including Best Film, Best Director for Chazelle, Leading Actress for Emma Stone and Leading Actor for Ryan Gosling.

Arrival and Nocturnal Animals were close behind with nine noms apiece. Manchester By the Sea earned six with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Hacksaw Ridge, Lion and I, Daniel Blake all receiving five nominations each.

Notably absent were Denzel Washington and Isabelle Hupert. The latter upset Natalie Portman, picking up Best Actress In A Drama at last weekend’s Globes.

Check out all the nominations below. The winners will be announced on February 12 from a ceremony held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
