For 24 years, Whister has been the proud host of one of the biggest and best LGBT ski weeks in North America. The week-long event is packed with plenty of events and activities.

After missing it the past two years, we’re excited to head back up to the amazing festival. Check out some of our suggestions on what to check out while in Whistler. It’s not all party events either 🙂

10 Things To Do At WinterPRIDE 2016

1. The Skiing & Snowboarding

Let’s just get this out of the way right off the bat…You’re in one of the most beautiful ski resorts on the planet – take advantage of it even if it’s for one day! If you want to meet people, you can also sign up for the WinterPRIDE Ski Guiding, where guides take you to check out all the hidden treats on the mountain so you don’t have to figure them out on your own. Also a great way to meet people… just saying.

2. Whistler Bungee

If you’re a thrill seeker, we highly recommend checking out Whistler Bungee. A few of us took a flying leap a couple of years ago. The adrenaline rush as you jump off the bridge is indescribable. Click here to check out our video.

3. Snowmobile Tours

Feeling a little worn out and lazy from partying the night before but want to take in the sights of Whistler. Definitely take a snowmobile tour to ride through the pristine backcountry. Nothing cures a hangover like the crisp cold air. Learn more about their three hour tours here.

4. Bobsledding

Do you have the need for speed, and snowmobiling and skiing not fast enough for you? Then sliding down at 125+ km/hr down an icy track is for you. Donovan did a bobsleigh run at the Whistler Sliding Center and he couldn’t stop talking about it. It’s a must-do activity for sure. Plus who doesn’t want to feel like an Olympian. 5. Apres Ski @ Whistler Conference Center

After enjoying an action-packed day outdoors, head to the Whistler Conference Center for some drinks, boy watching and lively conversation. The Apres Ski daily events are our favorite things to attend.

Garfinkels on the Friday night is always a great time. We absolutely love it This year Vancouver favourites SOLLORS and MR. COX DJ the ever-popular WhiteOUT Friday night party. 8. Walking Around The Village

Definitely allot some time to walk around the village. Whistler has world-class restaurants, shops and breathtaking scenery.

9. Scandinave Spa Whistler?

After putting your poor body through some rigorous partying, enjoy an authentic Scandinavian Spa experience. Situated just north of Whistler Village in BC, this spa resort is engulfed in a spruce and cedar forest on the edge of Lost Lake and Spruce Grove parks. 10. The Boys

Let’s face it… aside from the amazing setting we’re in, the wild parties, the activities… it’s also about the men. Hot guys having beers at the Apres with rosy cheeks after spending the day on the mountain – yes, please! There are so many opportunities to meet guys from all over the world at these apres and everyone is in good spirits and super friendly. Who knows, you may meet someone awesome at one of the events or on the mountain and he may invite you back to his condo/resort for a dip in the hot tub… Doesn’t that sound appealing? If you’re not looking for that, you can at least look at the boys and meet some amazing new friends or get to spend quality time with your existing buddies in the process.
