It’s hard to compete with a nearly naked Rihanna, but somehow Channing Tatum and Ben Affleck still managed to score their own respective covers for GQ’s annual Men of the Year issue. Theirs just happened to hit the internet the day after the “We Found Love” singer’s cover went viral. The people over at GQ aren’t dummies. They knew RiRi’s would have social media buzzing.

Tatum, the publication’s Movie Star of the Year, fixes his tie on the cover while giving his signature smirk. Given the actor propelled The Vow, Magic Mike and 21 Jump Street over the 100 million mark at the box office, he certainly deserves the title. Word on the street is that the 32-year-old is the frontrunner to take People’s Sexiest Man Alive honors this year. Must be nice to be Channing in 2012.

Meanwhile, Affleck earns Filmmaker of the Year honors from GQ for his work on Argo which is receiving major Oscar buzz. Not too shabby for the guy who gave the world Gigli, Surviving Christmas, Forces of Nature and so on. Ben is certainly having a banner year. He’s also winning our Who’d You Rather poll against his bromance Matt Damon. Check out his cover below.
